๐ Club History
Liverpool FC was founded in 1892 after a dispute between Everton FC and their landlord at Anfield. Under legendary managers Bill Shankly and Bob Paisley, Liverpool became the dominant force in English and European football through the 1970s and '80s, winning four European Cups in eight years. The Hillsborough disaster of 1989, which claimed 97 lives, remains one of the most painful chapters in the club's history. After a 30-year wait, Jรผrgen Klopp's Liverpool finally won the Premier League title in 2020, also adding a sixth Champions League in 2019.
